Three tablets of glucosamine and chondroitin provide 1500 mg of glucosamine sulfate and 1200 mg of low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate from a shark source. The combination of the two ingredients affects cartilage production greater than either of them alone. Since chondroitin sulfate is a large molecule, its degree of absorption is greatly varied. Studies verify the best absorption rate is at the low molecular weight of 16,000 Daltons , as found in this formula.
