Mag Glycinate

Mag Glycinate
Mag Glycinate

Magnesium Glycinate, available exclusively from Metagenics, is a fully reacted amino acid used to enhance absorption and intestinal tolerance.

The main action of magnesium, which is found in dark green leafy vegetables, is its effect on blood pressure. Because magnesium is central to many cellular mechanisms that control nerve cell and muscular activity, a deficiency may result in heartbeat abnormalities and/or other muscle spasms, such as Charlie horse. One study points to ventricular arrhythmias as being a result of magnesium insufficiency, especially in women. Magnesium is often considered one of the most deficient nutrients in the American diet.

Magnesium is also important in enzyme activation in the metabolism of fat. One should take Mag Glycinate before heavy exercise or athletic competition to reduce residual soreness. Don’t forget, leaf raking qualifies as an athletic event.

The suggested use of Mag Glycinate is 0 to 6 tablets daily, depending on stress level.
